About Dave's Wooden Toys
Dave began hand crafting wooden toys in 1991 to expand the toy making tradition started by his father. Over the years the variety of wooden toys has exceeded 30 different varieties, with the majority being trucks. The toys are designed to withstand play by the young. Considerable attention is given to make the wooden toys sturdy and safe.

Dave makes his handcrafted wooden toys from pine and basswood, except for the wheels. The wheels and accessories are purchased. The toys are well sanded and many are stained in Golden Oak. Painted toys are indicated in the Product List. Cabs for the 18-wheeler model and the smaller trucks are made from 2x4's.
